Can you afford to treat implementing Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology as optional?

Your organization is responsible for protecting thousands of people every day.

Why does our emergency response platform include customizable buttons?

Because “something is wrong” is not always enough information.

The most useful emergency communication tools do not sit idle waiting for a worst-case scenario. They also help teams coordinate the incidents they encounter every day.

Public-response data reinforces what private security teams already experience: different incidents require different responses.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration, 65.1% of fire department responses in 2024 involved emergency medical services or rescue. Fires accounted for just 3.7%.

Selected San Diego Police data from 2025 also shows that disturbances, welfare checks, and alarms were among the most common security-related calls analyzed.

Although this is public-response data, it illustrates the range of situations private security teams may help identify, manage, or escalate.

At major entertainment venues across the country, team members use Titan HST’s customizable Alert Card and See Something, Say Something features to report everyday incidents such as spills, maintenance concerns, and other issues requiring a coordinated response.

More technology only helps if it's easy to use under pressure. In other words, innovation can’t add complexity in moments that matter.

Security used to mean cameras, badges, and guards. Today, security needs to be approached as an interconnected system of physical safety, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness. A few shifts worth paying attention to:

- AI is changing the speed of detection, not just the accuracy. In an emergency, that compression is often the entire difference in outcome.

- Physical and digital security are converging. If you separate these departments, budgets, and plans, you risk facing an incident your organization is not prepared to handle.

- Preparedness technology is finally catching up to the pace of modern threats. Physical security innovation used to lag well behind cybersecurity innovation. That gap is closing for organizations that treat emergency communication as seriously as cybersecurity.

The systems worth investing in are the ones that make the fastest, clearest action easier, not the ones with the longest feature list.

Preparedness is not predicting exactly how a system will fail. It is having another way to communicate when it does.

A cyberattack. A cut fiber line.

The same warning: Critical systems can fail. How will you prepare?

On August 7, malicious software compromised a city’s IT systems, affecting 911 routing, police and fire dispatch, records, and other city services.

Officials shut down the city’s network to contain the threat and preserve evidence, activated the Emergency Operations Center, and shifted dispatch operations through another local county dispatch center. Police and fire services remained active while the incident was investigated.

Last year, in a different city, workers installing a light pole accidentally cut a fiber-optic line, disrupting 911 service across multiple states for several hours.

One damaged line, multiple states affected. Security, hanging on by a thread.

More than 800 calls were placed to 911 during the outage.

Even the most critical communication systems can become unavailable, and the point of failure may be completely outside an organization’s control.

Organizations may not be able to prevent every disruption. But they can prepare to keep information moving when the systems they rely on become unavailable.
