Beginning June 13th in Amesbury, Massachusetts you can head to the Strawberry Festival at Cider Hill Farm for one of the sweetest and most fun events of the summer in the state! This multi-weekend celebration runs June 13–14 and June 20–21, bringing fresh berries, farm treats, live music, hayrides, family activities, hard cider, and pick-your-own strawberries together on one of the North Shore’s favorite farms.

During the festival, visitors can start the day in the strawberry fields, then stick around for hayrides, lawn games, a scavenger hunt, music, and time with the farm’s goats and chickens. The farm store is another big stop, with baked goods, apple cider donuts, fresh berries, homemade biscuits, and whipped cream. Around the grounds, you’ll find strawberry shortcake, strawberry donuts, strawberry lemonade, strawberry ice cream, and even frozen strawberry cider slush from the outdoor cider bar. Admission is free, though tickets are needed for strawberry picking, and dates can shift based on weather and fruit readiness.

Cider Hill Farm sits on 145 acres at 45 Fern Avenue and has been part of the Cook family story since 1978, when Eleanor and Ed Cook purchased the old Battis Dairy Farm. The farm later joined with Carriage Town Orchards in 1992, creating the Cider Hill Farm people know today. Cider Hill is also home to Cider Hill Cellars, which opened its cidery in 2017 and makes hard cider from fruit grown, harvested, pressed, and produced right on the farm!

On July 11th the Maine Lavender Festival kicks off in Berwick as one of the most beautiful and memorable festivals of the year in the Pine Tree State! Held at Lavender Hill Farm on July 11th and 12th, 2026, this third annual summer festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days and brings visitors onto a small family farm filled with lavender, sheep, Christmas trees, music, food, and hands-on fun.

The biggest draw is the farm’s LavYrinth, a triple-spiral lavender path set into the hillside, with three entry points leading through rows of lavender toward a shared center. The LavYrinth was newly planted in 2025 with about 500 lavender plants, so by July 2026 it should be even fuller and more beautiful for festival guests. Visitors can stroll the fields, take photos, and cut their own lavender bouquet for $20 after stopping at the harvest station, where scissors and rubber bands are provided. There will also be $20 flower crown making, where guests can build a crown with lavender and other blooms while surrounded by the scent of the farm.

Food and drinks are part of the day too, with lavender lemonade, ice cream, food truck specials, and a lavender cook-off featuring baked goods, drinks, soups, and more. Live music is planned both days, including performances by Ashlyn Bard, while farm tours, sheep shearing, fiber spinners, a blacksmith, and a community mural add even more to see. Kids can enjoy face painting, play areas, children’s music, fairy costumes, and hands-on activities, making this a fun summer outing for families, flower lovers, and anyone looking for a beautiful Maine farm experience!
