You’re used to it so it doesn’t bother you, but to a buyer, they are paying attention to allll the details. Here are a few things buyers dislike that sellers may overlook:

1. Lingering odors: pet smells, smoke, or even overpowering air fresheners can be scents sellers get used to, but buyers pick up on immediately and can be an instant turnoff.

2. Poor lighting: dark rooms feel smaller and less inviting. Open those blinds, swap the bulbs, and let the light in!

3. Clutter or over-personalized spaces: buyers need to imagine THEIR life in your home — not get caught up in your knick knacks and family photos.

4. Awkward room setup: using spaces in unconventional ways (like a dining room turned into a playroom) can confuse buyers and make your home feel less functional.

5. Obvious repairs left undone: loose k***s, chipped paint, or dripping faucets make buyers wonder what bigger issues are hiding behind the surface.
