Congratulations to Nicholas McClelland and Collin Schaffhauser on their graduation from the The Brennan-Vanderbilt American Inn of Court.

Founded in 1989 as the Brennan Inn of Court (the first Inn of Court in New Jersey) and named in honor of William J. Brennan Jr., the organization merged with the Vanderbilt Inn in 2007 to form the Brennan-Vanderbilt American Inn of Court. The Inn is dedicated to promoting legal excellence in civil litigation and advancing the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, civility, and advocacy.

We are especially proud that our partner, Victor Afanador, serves as a Master of the Inn, helping mentor the next generation of advocates and contributing to the Inn’s longstanding tradition of professional development.

Congratulations to our partner, Victor Afanador, on being recognized as the 2026 Professional Lawyer of the Year by the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey at the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law's annual Professionalism Awards Luncheon. The award recognizes attorneys who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service to the legal profession.

It was also a pleasure to share the afternoon with our friends, Michael Baldassare and Jennifer Mara. We extend our congratulations to Jennifer, whose recognition by the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey is equally well deserved.
