Practical ways to put kids first:
✨ Keep court dates and legal issues private—children shouldn’t carry adult worries.
✨ Work together on a parenting schedule that feels predictable and safe.
✨ Celebrate milestones (birthdays, graduations) together when possible and safe to do so children feel supported by both parents.
✨ Check in with your child’s feelings and let them guide you on what they need to feel secure.
