In partnership with the NFALA Foundation, FALA New York is proud to present the Robin Mangaser Tizon Memorial Scholarship, which uplifts law students who reflect Robin’s extraordinary spirit, service, and strength.

Robin was more than a trailblazing Filipina American lawyer — she was a fierce advocate, a generous mentor, and a radiant force in every space she entered. Her legacy reminds us why we gather: to celebrate our community, to create opportunity, and to carry forward the values of those who paved the way.

As we count down to Friday, we’re reflecting on this year’s Making It series — a program close to our hearts and core to our mission.

✨ Making It was created to spotlight Filipino American legal professionals and the many paths we take to build meaningful, purpose-driven careers. Whether it’s breaking into BigLaw, public service, or in-house roles, the series exists to show that there’s no single way to “make it” — and that there’s always room for us at the table.

This year, we focused on Making It In-House and heard from June Casalmir, Maria Celis, Ariel Risinger, and Cat Gumarin in a powerful conversation about navigating in-house legal careers with authenticity and intention.

Panels like this remind us that representation is power — and that creating space for each other means leading the way forward.
