After a great two and a half years at the helm, I can officially announce I have stepped down as President of the Irish American Bar Association.
The organization has been a big part of my life over the last few years and I am incredibly proud of what we built together, growing the organization and building upon the great work of the former Presidents’ and Boards’.
However, with the increasing demands of running my own practice and a growing family, I knew the time had come to pass the baton.
When I took on this role, my goal was to bring energy, connection, and growth to the organization, and I hope that we achieved that together over the last few years. We created events that people genuinely wanted to attend, strengthened relationships within the Irish-American legal community, and hopefully helped elevate the profile of the association.
There are many great memories over the last few years, so many events and some highlight moments that I will always be proud of include:
The hugely successful Wine Geese Awards
Our Bloomsday celebrations
Community Sandwich making event
Christmas parties at Glucksman House NYU
The Irish Legal 100 Selection
The Irish Central Engagement Champion of the Year Award 2024
And the many well-attended networking events that brought us all together.
Most importantly, I am proud of the friendships formed and the community we continue to build.
The organization is now in great hands with new President Sheila Tendy.
If I could make one final request, it would simply be to encourage everyone to get behind Sheila and continue supporting the growth of the association moving forward.

To every member, sponsor, board member, and friend of the association — thank you for the support, trust, and confidence over the last few years. It has truly been an honor to serve as President, and while I may be stepping aside from the role, I will always support this organization and the incredible people behind it.
