The structure 🧐

▪️ Similar to NY county, King’s county offers a matrimonial part for divorce proceedings and a more general part.
⠀
▪️ However, due to a smaller number of judges and clerks with each one being assigned to a particular part, you have a better understanding of everyone’s work dynamic.
⠀
▪️ On the other hand, unlike King’s county NY county has motions, where you don’t go into a court room and your case is simply delivered to the judge via clerks who call the case. Later, the judge will either set the date for the parties to come and argue or he will make an instantaneous decision.

Is there a benefit for presenting a case in front of familiar judge?

▪️ There aren’t any distinct benefits, however there is a psychological aspect called “the human conditions”, where if you happen to see a person quite often, in your mind you know him/her which gives a feeling of a “small town”

▪️ Furthermore, once you get the opportunity to work with a particular judge on numerous occasions, you will be able to understand what the judge doesn’t like - consequently using this information for personal benefit.

How do judges work in King’s county when it comes to Real Estate disputes?

▪️ Any judge can deal with real-estate lawsuits.
⠀
▪️ The county has three assigned judges that settle all foreclosure disputes.

▪️ In an event of a business issue or a disagreement over a building, King’s County is able to offer the services of its commercial part.

💥 According to the lawyer whom I have recently interviewed, King's County is better for the following reasons

1️⃣ The community is smaller, therefore you will never feel like a stranger. King’s county will give you a more “small town life” feeling, where you know everything and everyone.

2️⃣ You will have the opportunity to meet and get to know every single judge and most clerks which would be beneficial for your career.

Long - Term Relationship with NY Supreme Judges

Judges are unbiased, they're bound to listening to evidence and making decisions not based on personal or mutual relationships with people.

What Mistakes Do People Make Regarding To Will When There's A State Litigation Involved?🤔

The biggest mistake people make is WAITING. We have cases where people have died 20-25 years ago and all the family needs to do is MOVE as soon as the person is buried.
