IN THE NEWS: McBRAYER LAW'S 2025 WRAP-UP:
In 2025, McBrayer Law won millions of dollars for victims of sexual harassment/sexual assault; gender, age, and race discrimination; and whistleblower retaliation. In so doing, McBrayer Law had a senior executive ousted for sexual harassment; settled one executive's gender discrimination case for $150,000 after her original attorney got a $0 offer and quit; settled another employee's race/age discrimination case for $400,000 after their original attorneys got a $0 offer and quit; held an employer responsible for its executive's sexual harassment of a colleague; held a multi-billion dollar company responsible for corporate malfeasance; and was named a NYC Super Lawyer for the 7th year in a row. As one client put it: "Your clients are lucky to have you. I'm certainly one of them." 10 years after McBrayer Law's start, 2025 was the cherry on top of a decade of outstanding practice. Multi-Billion Dollar Company said: "We've done nothing wrong."

MBD Company said: "What smoke? Oh, and by the way, your performance isn't up to s***f."
One letter, several rounds of negotiations, and one mediation later, case settled for $1.750M.

N THE NEWS: McBRAYER LAW SETTLES BANKER'S AGE/RACE DISCRIMINATION CASE FOR DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL SEVERANCE OFFER:
After decades of successful employment, Bank eliminated Client's position. Bank maintained: 1) Client was part of massive layoff; 2) Client's years of performance issues included insubordination, anger management, cursing, and physical confrontations; 3) termination had nothing to do with Client's race (it hadn't changed through years of employment) or age (Bank spared some older employees); and 4) Bank was completely justified in Client's selection for layoff. McBrayer Law said: not so fast, Big Bank.(See, also, since when does a Bank keep a "dangerous" employee on the payroll for years?) One letter, 2 months, and a few rounds of negotiations later, Bank paid Client 2 times more, and Client felt heard.

In 2024, McBrayer Law won millions of dollars for victims of gender, age, race, sexual orientation, and disability discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and gay bashing/personal injury. While representing clients in New York, California and New Jersey, McBrayer Law had a senior executive fired for creating a sexually hostile work environment; negotiated exponentially better severance offers up to 15 times a company's original offer; held an employer responsible for failing to appropriately deter and punish gay bashers; and, as one client put it, "showed up for [clients] full force." Nine years after McBrayer Law's start, McBrayer Law continues to fight the good fight (and win.) Wishing all justice and prosperity in 2025!

After years of successful employment Company abruptly fired Client after disgruntled employees lodged baseless complaints against Client. Company maintained termination was for cause: Client's first attorneys were offered ZERO additional severance. Client hired McBrayer Law, who said: Exec was railroaded out by the Board in retaliation for Client's diversity initiatives. One letter, 5 months, several rounds of negotiation and one mediation later, Company paid Client substantial $$$, 7 times more than offered at termination. Client said: "I am so grateful that you've walked this journey beside me. I couldn't have done it without you. I needed your wisdom, professionalism, and empathy - you showed up for me full force! Thank you, thank you!" McBrayer Law said: sometimes you just need the right lawyer.

IN THE NEWS: McBRAYER LAW SETTLES $150,000 STRAINED FINGER/PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTRESS PERSONAL INJURY CASE:
For 4 mos. workers mimicked and teased plaintiff, and on 1 occasion pushed him and twisted his finger. Plaintiff's complaints to management were ignored. Company argued: 1) nobody knew plaintiff's gay; 2) what assault? 3) what injury? 4) this is a setup! McBrayer Law said: 1) everyone knows plaintiff's gay; 2) plaintiff previously was victim to a violent gay bashing and lived in fear of another; 3) plaintiff has a strained index finger; and 4) here's the records to prove it. One letter and several months of investigation and negotiations later, case settled for $150,000. Client said: "You are amazing! God bless you!" McBrayer Law says: at McBrayer Law, we believe in standing up to bullies.

N THE NEWS: McBRAYER LAW SETTLES GAY EXECUTIVE'S BREACH OF CONTRACT/HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT CASE FOR 15 TIMES ORIGINAL SEVERANCE OFFER:
After a few years of successful employment, Client abruptly fired. Company maintained firing was for cause: a 3rd Party Investigator found Client violated company protocol, and disability leave was unwarranted. McBrayer Law said: not so fast. One letter, 4 months, and multiple rounds of negotiations later, Company paid Client substantial $$$, 15 times more than offered at termination. McBrayer Law said: Now that's a gay executive!

IN THE NEWS: McBRAYER LAW SETTLES MANAGER'S RACE/NATIONAL ORIGIN DISCRIMINATION CASE FOR DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL SEVERANCE OFFER:
After 2+ years of successful employment, Client fired 6 months after new Supervisor came on board. Company maintained: 1) Client was pleasant but incompetent; 2) termination had nothing to do with Client's race (it was the same as the new Supervisor's); 3) Client never complained to HR about discrimination; and 4) Company was not interested in paying a dime more. McBrayer Law said: We only deal in dollars. One letter, 2 months, and a few rounds of negotiations later, Company paid Client 2 times more, and Manager moved to pleasanter pastures.

After 6 months of successful employment, newly-hired Executive bypassed for promotion by younger/less qualified hires, then laid off. Corporation maintained: 1) Exec was old when hired; 2) Exec never applied for posted positions; 3) Exec's performance wasn't all that; 4) Exec signed compulsory arbitration agreement; and 5) Exec was 1 of 100s of employees laid off. One letter, 3 months, and several rounds of negotiations later, Company paid client 3 times more. Exec's conclusion? "You are awesome."

In 2023, McBrayer Law had a groundbreaking, record-breaking year winning tens of millions of dollars for victims of gender, age, race, and disability discrimination, retaliation, and negligence/ personal injury. In doing so, McBrayer Law had one sexist executive fired; successfully represented clients in Los Angeles, D.C., and New York; and sextupled gross recoveries. Tellingly, 75% of those cases were referred by former McBrayer Law clients. 2023 was our biggest year yet: eight years after its inception, McBrayer Law reached new summits of success. As one client summed it up: "Amazing! Hallelujah!" Wishing all justice and prosperity in 2024!
