Over the past 12 months, I have served as General Counsel for Cornel West and his campaign for President of the United States. Today, we reached the finish line, and I was proud to visit my polling location here in New York City and cast my ballot for Cornel West for President.

I have witnessed first-hand the sacrifices Cornel has made to run for office and fight for Truth and Justice. Brother West brings rare intellectual heft to our all-too-shallow public discourse, while also being one of the most caring and compassionate people I know.

In an era of Big Money and endless slouching towards the status quo, Cornel West is a man of principle and moral clarity. The political elites sought to silence us, but we made the ballot in sixteen states and continue to stand for those who have been left behind.

Last night, I moderated an in-person panel discussion covering hot topics in Election Law--including ongoing changes in the handling of absentee ballots and ballot access issues in the 2024 Presidential election.

As the Chair of the Election Law Committee for the New York County Lawyers Association, I am working even harder to improve how we choose our public officials.

I was just quoted in a lengthy New York Times article concerning the ongoing audit of NYC Mayor Eric Adams' 2021 campaign. The audit is being conducted by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, an agency I've worked with for nearly a decade.

As I point out in the New York Times, Mayor Adams faces a number of significant issues in connection with the audit of his campaign finances--and the pending criminal cases concerning alleged fraudulent contributions will complicate this ongoing audit!

A 900-page draft audit of Eric Adams’s 2021 mayoral campaign in New York City found widespread errors that could lead to fines or forfeiture of public matching funds.

One year ago, my client and I discovered absentee ballot fraud in connection with a New York City Council race. We commenced a lawsuit and established that hundreds of absentee ballots were fraudulently procured and voted. The Queens District Attorney followed this case and now, a year later, six of the alleged perpetrators are being brought to justice.

Thanks to WABC-TV here in NYC for covering the story and my work on this important case.

The arrests were the result of a long-term investigation which began after 23 complainants claimed to prosecutors that they were disenfranchised.

For the Solar Eclipse today here in New York City, I doubled down on the Gold in honor of the sun.

In addition to a yellow jacket and a golden T-Shirt, I splashed some gold paint on my jeans for good measure.

If there were a Solar Eclipse fashion contest, I would have won!

I have been appointed to serve as Chair of the Election Law Committee for the New York County Lawyers Association, which has over 7,000 members.

I was honored to meet with President Adrienne Koch and NYCLA's leadership yesterday to discuss how we can make a difference!

I am honored to be appointed by Cornel West to be General Counsel of his campaign for President of the United States.

I look forward to working with Dr. West and his growing campaign team as we work to get him on the ballot across the country and advocate for truth and justice!

The race for Governor of the State of New York is going to be one of the most closely watched elections tonight.

I've had an opportunity to meet both candidates, Gov. Kathy Hochul and Lee Zeldin. Because of rising crime in New York, this is shaping up to be a close contest!

Last week I was proud to travel to Broome County, NY to represent local artist Emily Jablon who says she was exploited and harassed by a County Legislator. . . Sexual misconduct happens at all levels, but only the rich and famous get media attention--which is unacceptable!

Sexual harassment will not stop if we focus only on the elite and the Harvey Weinstein's of the world.

I have filed a complaint with the Broome County Board of Ethics, detailing Emily's complaint against Scott Baker. Text messages that are included speak for themselves!
