Welcome to 2019!

We wish all the best to you in 2019. Let’s make this year positive for you! Parents with special needs children have a lot to manage and do not need the extra stress of dealing with layers upon layers of bureaucracy that make up school district administrations and especially the New York City Department of Education. We do that for you. Key for parents is staying organized and keeping us at Spencer Walsh Law informed about all communications received from the NYC DOE.

Our Top 5 tips for success with private school funding in 2019:

1) Meet with Spencer Walsh Law EARLY to come up with a plan for the 2019-2020 school year - thoughtful and skilled planning is essential;

2) Inform Spencer Walsh Law immediately if you receive a notification regarding an upcoming IEP meeting - go in armed with professional advice;

3)You must cooperate with your School District, but you do not have to agree to a program that is not right for your child. Discuss with with Spencer Walsh Law so that you take all the right steps;

4) Need a neuropsychological evaluation in order to be successful? Schedule an appointment now with the right type of psychologist. Not sure if you need this evaluation or which psychologist to use, discuss this with Spencer Walsh Law sooner rather than later;

5) Stay positive so that the laws of attraction are always on your side.
