Law Office Of Matthew L. Guadagno I have been practicing immigration law since 1997. I maintain a small practice where I have a close relationship with my clients.

In September 2012, I was listed in the publication, Super Lawyers, for the fifth year in a row. I am AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. I currently serve on the Amicus Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association. I am an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School teaching a course I created on deportation defense. I have taught over 25 continuing legal education courses to lawyers on how to practice immigration law.

Today, is the fourteenth anniversary of the opening of the Law Office of Matthew L. Guadagno. My solo practice is now the longest job that I have ever had.

I pulled off the "hat trick" of immigration lawyer legal representation today. Previously, I successfully represented my client in immigration court and his application for naturalization. Today, we had his wife's adjustment of status interview.

I had the most amazing day yesterday. I was in the U.S. District Court in Islip, NY for a sentencing. I helped to convince a judge to sentence someone to under a year so that he would not be deported. The judge commented that "the immigration expert's excellent letter made a complicated issue simple to understand."

The Immigrant Justice Network has given the Biden administration an "F" on immigration. Personally, I would give him a "D." His administration has brought back prosecutorial discretion and Attorney General Merrick Garland has had some good decisions.
