Susan Chana Lask, Esq. Susan Chana Lask's motto is "No Soul Suffers". That's what motivates her work to protect all dogs. In 2011 she won certification before the U.S. Lask. Ms.

Susan Chana Lask is a sophisticated Federal, State and Appellate attorney who relentlessly litigates high profile cases for the public. She is a legal expert for every major media outlet worldwide, inlcuding CNN, NBC Nightly News, Forbes, the Washington Post, NewsWeek and more. She is named "New York's High Profile Divorce Attorney" and "New York's High Powered Lawyer" by the media. She donates h

er time as a faculty lecturer for education courses for attorneys nationwide, including Stanford Law School and New York University, and appears at many Law Schools and Universities to teach students about the practice of law. Supreme Court with her historical civil rights prison strip search case, argued October 12, 2011. In 2012 she won a favorable decision that non-criminal arrestees should not be strip searched if they are not placed in general population. That case is taught in schools and universities nationwide. Susan was appointed class counsel in that case for 7 years since 2005, won in the Federal District Court and when the losing parties appealed to the Third Circuit, she argued there too. Susan was the only attorney to go before the U.S. Supreme Court on the strip search issue. Five Attorneys general, a State Supreme Court Judge and the ACLU, among other notable amici, supported Ms. Susan is the only attorney in 2010 to sound the alarm on the foreclosure crisis by producing a video on the issue and filing a Federal Class Action against New York's infamous Foreclosure Mill Steven Baum and MERS. She shut down the Foreclosure Mill, and it paid millions in fines with the US Senate, DOJ and NYS Attorney Genera having Susan on-board so they could fine Baum Millions. In 2006, Susan Chana Lask single-handedly sued Big Pharma Sanofi Aventis as the only attorney brave enough to publicize the "Ambien Zombie" phenomenon. Lask created the term "Ambien Zombie", and in record time successfully had the FDA order Sanofi Aventis and all prescription sleep drug makers use the exact warnings her lawsuit demanded. In between her busy schedule, Susan works on her passion-- shutting down Puppy Mills. Her high profile cases include changing the definition of pets from "property" to "living beings". Lask intends to stop pet stores from selling puppy mill dogs. In turn, Puppy Mills should disappear. Indeed, in 2016, Susan was integral in getting the first Puppy Mill ban against pet stores in New York State's Mamaroneck Village. ACHIEVEMENTS RELATED TO SHUTTING DOWN PUPPY MILLS

The following is not a complete recitation of Susan Chana Lask’s achievements:

December 2017: At the request of the Starkey Town Board in New York, Ms. Lask reviewed their zoning and kennel law, drafted the moratorium and provided testimony at the December 7, 2017 Town Board meeting. On December 8, 2017, Starkey passed the moratorium she drafted. November 2017: At the request of residents in Barrington, New York, on November 10, 2017 Ms. Lask WORKED NONSTOP FOR 3 DAYS, leading to the town preventing the opening of a 500 dog Puppy Mill by John Sensenig. Because of her work, on November 14, 2017 the Town Board cancelled Sensenig's application and the NYS Dept. of Agriculture revoked his NY license. February 2016: One of her highest honors was her integral part to the first NYS locality banning Puppy Mill dog sales in pet stores. New York’s Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Rosenblum asked Ms. Lask to help pass his law because the Village Board opposed it. After Ms. Lask provided a legal memo and testified on the issue before the Board on February 22, 2016, the law was passed that day. Her work also led to the closing of the local Pet Store where its owner was later criminally convicted for animal abuse. April 2015: At the request of residents, Ms. Lask assisted in the case against the Crab Orchard, Nebraska Puppy Mill run by the infamous Linda Hager, that the USDA cited for intolerable kennel conditions and is facing millions in fines in 2018. Lask assisted the town prosecutor and the ASPCA that led to 27 dogs removed to safety and the Puppy Mill surrendered its license. December 2013: Ms. Lask was called to help rescuers from Dogs Deserve Better free 124 dogs from the horrendous Olympic Animal Sanctuary (“OAS”) in Forks, Washington that garnered national attention. She met with police, State and town officials, HSUS, ASPCA and other animal rights organizations to triage the dogs’ freedom. She also contacted the Attorney General to expose OAS’s frauds. Within one week, the dogs were freed, OAS closed and the OAS owner was arrested. October 2013: At the request of a Hallendale Florida Commissioner, Ms. Lask reviewed their proposed law to ban the sale of Puppy Mill dogs and she provided a memo explaining that the State and Federal laws permit localities to make their own laws protecting their animals. At the time, a well-funded pet industry organization called PIJAC opposed the Hallendale law. March 2012: Ms. Lask assisted in the Gorham, New York Puppy Mill moratorium by providing the Town Board a memo proving an application for a large scale breeding facility omitted information regarding the care of the dogs and did not comply with town laws. She worked with the Citizens Against Puppy Mills and the local SPCA to organize peaceful protests and attendance at town board meetings to raise awareness to the town board. The moratorium passed. ALERT: ALL RIDGLAN BEAGLES FREED TODAY!

Beagles win!
Ridglan...they are losers and forever known as abusers!

Today Big Dog Ranch Rescue is picking up the last 155 beagles and transporting them to safety.

I really love Big Dog Ranch as they organized this incredible rescue since late February 2025, and they have the tools to do it. That includes the extraordinary bus and vans they used to save these dogs.

It is terrible that the State let this go on for so long because there are thousands of dogs that could have been saved years ago.

It's wonderful that the monsters at Ridglan are closed, but all of their damage to so many lives shouldn't be ignored. They killed, mamed and tortured innocent dogs since the 1960s. The dogs that are being rescued are still traumatized. Many will never lead a normal life without the pain and suffering they still endure, and the fear of humans because they remember the monsters at Ridglan.

And just who were the employees at that torture chamber that put such fear on these dogs? They also quietly slipped away. Well, I wish them a life of pain.

But here we are, and Ridglan got away with literally murder.

Thank god at least thousands of dogs were freed, Ridglan's creepy Vet lost his license and everyone in the public did their part to get the dogs out of there.

TODAY LASK SPOKE AT THE WI VETERINARIAN BOARD
FOR THE RIDGLAN BEAGLES AGAINST RIDGLAN'S SUSPENDED VET RICHARD VAN DOMELEN

Here's my speech I gave this morning before the Wisconsin Vet Board to support the permanent revocation of the vet license of the egregious and suspended Ridglan Vet Richard Van Domelen.

I was one sentence over the 5 minute speech allowance, but the VEB was very patient and good to hear everything.

God speed that they yank his license for good--which I believe will happen as his violations are too many to count!

UPDATE: after todays meeting, my speech and the emails from all of you as well as others who spoke up, VAM DOMELEN TURNED IN HIS LICENSE!!!

ALERT: RESCUE DOG GETS BEST LIFE EVER!

Yes, that's my little boy Abraham.

At 5 years old, his family dumped him in 2021. Fortunately, I found him 30 days later, but he was still traumatized, confused and scared the first few days.

His name was Rocco, but I changed it to Abraham - after my hero Abraham Lincoln.

Abraham knows I'm here to stay, and I know he's my number one fan.

I wish every dog was free and safe like Abraham.

ALERT: RIDGLAN VET LICENSE HEARING JULY 28 - LASK WILL SPEAK FOR THE DOGS

I'll be speaking on behalf of the Ridglan dogs at the July 28, 2026 Wisconsin Veterinarian Board hearing to provide never before heard information for the revocation of the veterinarian license of Ridglan Farms vet, Dr. Richard Van Domelen.

Months ago the Wisconsin Veterinarian Board suspended Van Domelen's license on an emergency basis for allowing unlicensed employees to perform painful surgeries (like cherry eye removals) without anesthesia, among 321 other animal abuse violations happening on his watch.

Not an apology from this monster.

We all know the horrible conditions of the beagles rescued from the Ridglan hell hole.

In May, 2026, I personally met dozens of the beagles for days, and saw the fear in their eyes, malnourished bodies and bloody paws -all thanks to the monster Van Domelen.

Please support me and the beagles by telling me in this post that you emailed a short and POLITE letter to DATCP demanding Van Domelen's license is forever revoked and that he never goes near another animal again.

ARF HAMPTONS, NYC SECOND CHANCE RESCUE WITH SUSAN CHANA LASK CARE FOR RIDGLAN BEAGLES

here's the story of NYC Second Chance Rescue that organized my meetings with the Beagles at various east coast locations and President Jennifer Brooks and her team's hard work saving 26 Ridglan Beagles the first week of May, and organizing Arf Hamptons veterinarian care for them.

Here's the story At a Glance:

"Animal rights attorney Susan Chana Lask, who has advocated for the Ridglan beagles and worked to raise awareness of the case, recently visited the dogs at the adoption center to see their progress, saying she was grateful to meet and hold the beagles and to witness them surrounded by compassion."

MARSHALL BIORESOURCES: FOLLOW THE MONEY, FOLLOW THE DOGS

Marshall - you're next!

The suffering of beagles bred for laboratory testing continues because the system has three moving parts:

1. The regulator USDA that permits it.

2. The breeder that produces the dogs.

3. The laboratories, universities, and companies that buy them.

Check out their buyers in the attached photo I created for you from the past months of research I've been doing.

Marshall BioResources in North Rose, New York is the largest commercial breeder of purpose-bred beagles and dogs for cruel research in the United States.

Right now there are some 23,000 beagles kept in wire cages their entire lives, no sunlight, traumatized only to be sold into experiments where they are tortured beyond belief.

The USDA inspects and regulates facilities like this, but USDA is an utter failure. Violations are ignored by incompetent inspectors.

That means the real pressure point is demand.

Marshall exists because institutions keep buying dogs.

The public needs to ask these buyers:

Do you use dogs in research?
Do you source dogs from Marshall BioResources or similar breeders?
What experiments are being performed on those dogs?
Which grants, agencies, or private companies are funding the work?
What is your plan to end the use of dogs in testing?

Contact the universities, laboratories, IACUC committees, research offices, compliance departments, ethics offices, and institutional leadership of those listed in the picture here.

Do not let them hide behind words like “research,” “protocol,” or “compliance.”

These dogs are sentient beings. They feel fear, pain, confinement, and trauma.

Social media outrage is not enough. Public pressure has to reach the institutions creating the demand - the BUYERS.

Use your voice. Demand answers. Follow the money/buyers and don't buy their products.

🚨 LASK’S USDA DEMANDS FOR MARSHALL REACH CONGRESS — A WIN FOR THE BEAGLES! 🚨

Remember a few weeks ago when I posted that I was meeting with Congressmembers and legislators about Marshall BioResources / Marshall Farms in New York?

IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS FOR THE BEAGLES!

After my June 15 meeting with U.S. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis , where we discussed animal welfare and federal oversight of large-scale research animal breeders, she asked me to provide information on Marshall and USDA oversight.

I immediately did a deep dive into USDA-APHIS records, the Animal Welfare Act, inspection rules, animal-inventory records, staffing requirements, veterinary-care regulations, and Marshall’s federal license and registration history.

Within two days, I prepared the Legislative Review Support Packet, shown in the picture here, and drafted the USDA oversight questions asking how this agency can meaningfully inspect and monitor a facility reported to hold approximately 66,000 animals, including more than 22,000 dogs and puppies and more than 41,000 ferrets. After the congress members fact checked my work, they signed the letter.

I am so thankful that Congresswoman Malliotakis and Congressman Nick Langworthy sent the official June 26 letter to USDA demanding answers and accountability for Marshall - attached in the first two comments below--READ IT.

This is exactly the congressional pressure these animals need.

For 17 years, I said the USDA is the problem: a bureaucracy that too often fails the very animals it is supposed to protect.

Marshall is one of the last large-scale facilities breeding purpose-bred dogs for research, and the public deserves answers.
How many animals are actually observed? How are inspections conducted? How is staffing reviewed? What records are checked? Is federal law strong enough to protect animals in facilities this massive?

I will be sharing the answers to those questions from my research behind the Congressional letter so the public can see what USDA has not disclosed and why Congress must keep pressing for transparency, enforcement, and accountability.

This is how advocacy works: facts, records, legal research, and relentless pressure for the animals. 🐾

Stay tuned because I also recently was asked by a NYC legislator to draft a law addressing Marshall which was submitted a few weeks ago too!

ALERT! 117 DEAD DOGS BURIED AT SLEAZY DOG RESCUE

Miranda's Rescue in Fortuna California had people and shelters pay it money for years to take dogs into its so-called sanctuary. Now discovered to be a sanctuary of sorrow.

117 dogs were found yesterday buried on its grounds, many with gunshot wounds. So much for Mirandas' no kill policy!

I have exposed these sanctuaries for years. The most famous was Olympic Animal Sanctuary in Washington over ten years ago when me and a group of people started a movement that saved hundreds of dogs in a week. And in 2023, I exposed the same operation in upstate NY of over 100 dogs in filfthy conditions, and have the police bodycam proving it.

We need to be more careful before donating anywhere!!

Make sure the place is clean, the dogs are cared for and there's real staff because these fraudulent sanctuaries will take hundreds of dogs for money then kill them.

Do not rely on pictures on the internet or social media. If you havent personally seen the place and the dogs, dont donate.

The same goes for any charity you're donating to. Check it out. Make sure the money really goes to the dogs and not to personal expenses of the owners of these so-called charities.

Authorities say the remains of at least 117 dogs were found on the grounds of a California “no-kill“ animal shelter, many of them with gunshot wounds.
