She has been a political activist and deeply involved in her communities. She is an active member of the New York and Minnesota bars, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers association, and LE-GAL. She is active in the Lower Manhattan Democrats organization and the National Lawyers Guild, New York Chapter. She holds a Juris Doctor and Masters in Social Work.
