Warshaw Burstein, LLP is pleased to announce Carlos Perez-Hall has joined the firm as a partner in the litigation and real estate groups.
Mr. Perez-Hall provides counsel to property owners, management companies, developers, and Co-Op and Condominium boards in commercial and residential real estate matters in New York City. He advises clients on litigation, management and operational issues affecting their real estate assets.
His practice focuses on commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, settlement negotiations, and matters involving the daily management of real property. Carlos has decades of experience appearing in Housing Court, Civil Court, and Supreme Court in New York City.
Carlos also defends property owners against lawsuits and code infractions issued by New York State and New York City administrative agencies, including the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Department of Housing and Community Renewal, and Department of Buildings.
Carlos was recently appointed to the New York City Housing Court Practice and Policy Advisory Committee, which provides analysis, consultation, and policy guidance to court leadership on statutes, court rules, administrative practices and related Housing Court policies.
Carlos is also serving his third term on the Housing Advisory Council, which assists in appointing and re-appointing Housing Court judges.

Mr. Perez-Hall graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in 2000 and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a J.D. in 2003. He is a former president of the Puerto Rican Bar Association.
