This year marks the 10th year anniversary of the founding of my firm. When I started working on my business plan to launch my own law practice 12 years ago, I had no idea that I would end up launching that venture while also growing a young family. Both endeavors – while challenging -have been incredibly rewarding.
Over the past 10 years, my firm has represented clients (both employee and management-side) in over a thousand matters across numerous industries – including finance, law, fashion, media, technology, academia, and the list goes on. Although we’ve certainly helped clients negotiate the happy beginning of employment and work deals, most of the cases we handle involve difficult breakdown of work relationships- or as I often refer to them (only half-jokingly), "business divorces." These situations all concern workers and employers trying to resolve messy separations.
As a boutique firm, we accept clients by referral only. In every interaction with clients and opponents alike, we are committed to our core value of integrity. I believe that these are reasons why we have been able to build such a solid following, and to protect the quality of our clientele & level of service over the years. As such, thank you to the countless clients, legal colleagues, and even former opposing counsel, who have trusted my firm to represent and advise their friends, family and contacts.
Through the years, I have also been tremendously fortunate to have the support of our litigation attorney Owen Laird. His sound judgment, keen legal insights, and emotional intelligence have been true assets as we counsel and guide clients through unexpected storms. In addition, I am so grateful to our numerous local/outside employment & labor counsel who have provided invaluable guidance and collaboration on matters in CA, MA, CT, DC and many jurisdictions in between.
Above all, thank you to our loyal clients: we are truly honored to represent and counsel you through your most difficult professional chapters. Given the fast-changing landscape of the American work-place, it will be interesting to see what the next 10 years hold.
