When national security hawks become pro-immigration, it’s time to listen

“With nearly 80 percent of the leading U.S.-based AI companies founded by immigrants or the children of immigrants, locking bright minds out of the U.S. national security innovation base ecosystem because of immigration reform deadlock is strategic seppuku,” write two policy directors at the Ronald Reagan Institute.

There are ways to encourage skilled workers, especially in STEM, to study and work in the US, but the stalemate on immigration reform continues to be a problem. And it can lead to falling behind when it comes to tech.
