You can fight a New York State Support Collection Unit's cost of living adjustment. You have a short time to do it from when you receive the notice. The objection goes right to a judge and skips the support magistrate.

Over the years, I have had an engaged person ask me, how far ahead of the wedding should I ask for a prenuptial agreement. Ideally, before you start spending money on the wedding, then probably before you send out the invitations, and, in my opinion, no less than 3 months before the wedding. And yes, you both need lawyers or you're asking for trouble.
