Sustainable Restaurant Corps (SRC) Working together to make it easier and less expensive for NYC restaurants to be Sustainable.

We are a non-profit that works with individual restaurants and advocates for the restaurant community to help improve environmental sustainability and the overall efficiency of operations. Our areas of expertise include energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, including food waste, and sustainable purchasing of food, chemicals, and packaging. We are working in collaboration with the

restaurant industry in NYC to develop a rating system. This will help restaurants gage their progress and give the public a way to recognize their achievements. This approach will improve transparency and build public confidence that the restaurant industry is doing what it can to meet the environmental challenges we all face.
