What does the I-601A waiver do?

🇺🇸 Understanding the EB-3 Employment-Based Green Card

The EB-3 visa is one of the most common pathways to lawful permanent residence (a green card) for foreign workers who have a permanent job offer from a U.S. employer.

Who may qualify?

USA Strong. President Trump Delivers Again. 🇺🇸⚽

While critics doubt him, President Trump gets things done — even on the world stage of the World Cup. When Team USA’s Folarin Balogun was hit with a controversial red card, President Trump didn’t sit back. He picked up the phone, called FIFA President Infantino directly, and fought for American fairness.

🇺🇸 যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের গ্রিন কার্ডধারীকে কি বিমানবন্দরে প্রবেশ করতে বাধা দেওয়া হতে পারে?

অনেক বৈধ স্থায়ী বাসিন্দা (Lawful Permanent Resident) বিদেশ ভ্রমণ শেষে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে ফেরার সময় কী হতে পারে তা নিয়ে উদ্বিগ্ন থাকেন।

সংক্ষিপ্ত উত্তর: একজন বৈধ গ্রিন কার্ডধারীকে সাধারণত একজন ভিজিটরের মতো সরাসরি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে প্রবেশে নিষেধ করা যায় না। তবে এর অর্থ এই নয় যে, প্রতিবারই প্রবেশ দ্রুত বা স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে হবে।

নিম্নোক্ত পরিস্থিতিতে একজন গ্রিন কার্ডধারীকে সেকেন্ডারি ইন্সপেকশনে পাঠানো হতে পারে, সাময়িকভাবে আটক রাখা হতে পারে, অথবা অপসারণ (Removal) কার্যক্রমে পাঠানো হতে পারে:

✅ নির্দিষ্ট ধরনের ফৌজদারি অপরাধে দণ্ডিত হলে

যদি CBP (Customs and Border Protection) কর্মকর্তা আপনাকে Form I-407 (Record of Abandonment of Lawful Permanent Resident Status)-এ স্বাক্ষর করতে বলেন, তবে পরিণতি সম্পূর্ণভাবে না বুঝে এবং একজন অভিবাসন আইনজীবীর সঙ্গে পরামর্শ না করে কখনোই স্বাক্ষর করবেন না।

এই ফর্মে স্বাক্ষর করলে আপনি স্বেচ্ছায় আপনার গ্রিন কার্ড (স্থায়ী বাসিন্দার মর্যাদা) ত্যাগ করেছেন বলে গণ্য হতে পারে।

বিমানবন্দরে আপনাকে থামানো হলে

🔹 শান্ত ও ভদ্র আচরণ করুন।
🔹 সব প্রশ্নের সত্য উত্তর দিন।
🔹 না বুঝে কোনো কাগজে স্বাক্ষর করবেন না।
🔹 যদি আপনাকে আটক করা হয় বা আপনার অধিকার সম্পর্কে অনিশ্চিত থাকেন, তাহলে একজন অভিবাসন আইনজীবীর সঙ্গে কথা বলার অনুরোধ করুন।

প্রতিটি অভিবাসন মামলা ভিন্ন। আপনি বা আপনার কোনো স্বজন যদি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের বিমানবন্দর বা প্রবেশ বন্দরে আটক হন, তাহলে অভিজ্ঞ আইনগত সহায়তা আপনার মামলার ফলাফলে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।
