The NYC Dept. of Education has been egregiously failing to implement impartial hearing officer decisions for years. Earlier this week, Judge Preska issued an order (in a longstanding class action lawsuit) that we are hopeful will result in some real positive changes. We applaud and thank our colleagues at Advocates for Children of New York for all of their work as class counsel.

Even after families win legal battles for special education services and payments, the education department drags its feet in virtually every case, audits show.
