Happy to help our friend Dominic Chianese in making a childhood dream come true - singing on the sangennarostage at the 100th anniversary San Gennaro NYC. 25 years after 9/11 we’re proud to support the community we serve.

The air wasn't safe. And according to the files, the city knew it.

Partner Matthew J. Baione joined Imran Ansari on AM 970 The Answer to talk about what the records show about lower Manhattan after 9/11.

Two things stand out.

The city didn't pick and choose who it kept information from.
And the dust didn't pick and choose who it made sick.

That's why eligibility for the WTC Health Program and the VCF isn't limited to responders. If you lived, worked, studied, or spent time near Ground Zero in the months after the attacks, you may qualify.

Many people who were there still don't know that.

If you were there, find out. Contact Pitta & Baione LLP for a free consultation.

Standing with and celebrating the neighborhood we serve at the Centennial Feast of San Gennaro. 25 years ago, after 9/11, the feast was canceled for the first time. The community came together, as it always has, to give back and care for one another. We documented that moment in “The Forgotten Feast” directed by Rosemarie🌹🎥. We brought world class talent to the centennial stage including Dominic Chianese and Sal "The Voice" Valentinetti with the NYPD band. Thank you Ginger Winn christian sparacio (band) Chase Manhattan Paul Costabile for making the final night at the sangennarostage one for the history books. Thank you Will Moy for photos 1-9 and Andrew LoPiccolo photos 10-19

Before Little Italy was a destination, it was a neighborhood.

Tar beach on the rooftops. Families on the stoop. Everybody knew everybody, and the street was an extension of your home.

Those memories are part of The Forgotten Feast - our documentary directed by Rosemarie🌹🎥 about the people, traditions and community that shaped Little Italy, and how that community responded when New York needed it most after 9/11. Ginger Winn and Sal "The Voice" Valentinetti did the soundtrack and performed yesterday on the sangennarostage.

"I wasn't a firefighter. I shouldn't be eligible for this."

We hear that more than you'd think.

But these programs were built for all of New York, not just responders. People who lived or worked nearby often qualify too.

Checking isn't taking from anyone. It's claiming what was built for you.

The VCF provides compensation. The WTC Health Program covers healthcare.

If you've told yourself it isn't meant for you, let's find out together.

“America in a neighborhood.”

In the days after 9/11, Little Italy became more than a neighborhood. Restaurants opened their kitchens, food intended for the Feast of San Gennaro went to first responders and recovery workers, and a community did what it could for a city in crisis.

The Forgotten Feast preserves the stories of the people who were there and the part Little Italy played in New York’s response after September 11.

25 years later, we shine light on these stories.

After 9/11, the Feast of San Gennaro was canceled for the first time in its history.

But Little Italy didn’t shut down.

Restaurants that had stocked their kitchens for the Feast instead used that food to feed first responders and recovery workers in the days after September 11.

The Forgotten Feast is the story of Little Italy after 9/11 - how it got there, why it survived, and why it will thrive for “another million years.”

25 years later, their story is now streaming free on YouTube. Watch at the link in bio.

Over 170,000 pages of city records tied to 9/11 were just released, and they suggest officials repeatedly misled residents and workers about the air quality around Ground Zero.

For the responders and downtown residents who have said this for twenty-five years, it isn't news. It's confirmation.

Matthew Baione broke down what the release means, and why the Victim Compensation Fund exists, on Radio Night Live with Imran Ansari, AM 970 The Answer.
