New designs for Green Cards and EAD!

USCIS released new designs of Green Cards and EAD cards to improve security. Previous versions are still acceptable and valid.

On Jan 30, 2023, USCIS released the new designs of permanent residence cards (green cards) and Employment Authorization Documents (EAD). Issuance of the new designs began on Jan 30, 2023.

USCIS announced a proposed rule of increasing ceiling fees in many employment-based and family-based immigration categories such as Green Cards, H1B, O, and L visas, and conditional green cards through marriage.

The application fee would double if the proposed rule is implemented. Family-based green cards through marriage would experience a 76% increase in the application fee.

USCIS will make the final decision after the public comment period ends on March 6.

On Jan 4, 2023, USCIS announced a proposed rule of increasing filing fees in many employment-based and family-based immigration categories, which would possibly double the immigration fees.

USCIS announced the H1B cap registration period in 2023 will open from Wed, March 1 at noon to Fri, March 17 at noon.

The entire process of the H1B application will be completed online through My USCIS. And the earliest time to create a My USCIS account is in 10 days on Feb 21.
