NCAA to resolve wage-fixing claims brought on behalf of a certified class of Division I volunteer coaches. Kirby McInerney is pleased to announce that it has secured final approval of a $48 million settlement in a securities class action, styled Local 295 IBT Employer Group Welfare Fund v. Compass Minerals Int'l, Inc., 2:22-cv-02432 (D. Kan.).

The settlement resolves investors’ claims that Compass Minerals Internationals, Inc. violated the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by allegedly misrepresenting the progress and cost savings associated with its implementation of a salt mining initiative during the settlement class period.

Led by firm Partner Thomas Elrod, Kirby McInerney and its Co-Lead Counsel Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP litigated the case vigorously for over two years to secure this excellent result on behalf of the class.
