USCIS JUNE 2026 VISA BULLETIN UPDATE

USCIS has confirmed that it will use the Final Action Dates chart for employment-based Adjustment of Status applications in June 2026.

What does this mean?

• Employment-based applicants must check the Final Action Dates chart to determine whether they are eligible to file Form I-485 in June 2026.
• A visa number must generally be available under the Final Action Dates chart before USCIS can approve an Adjustment of Status application.
• Applicants in EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 categories should carefully review the June 2026 Visa Bulletin to determine their eligibility.

For applicants processing through a U.S. Embassy or Consulate abroad, including those completing DS-260 processing through the National Visa Center, visa availability and interview scheduling will continue to depend on Department of State procedures.

The Visa Bulletin remains one of the most important tools for employment-based immigrants. Understanding your priority date and category is critical to planning the next steps in your immigration journey.

ANNUAL ASYLUM FEE UPDATE

Individuals with a pending asylum application should be aware that a new Annual Asylum Fee may apply while their case remains pending.

Key Information:

• Annual Fee: $102 per asylum application
• Applies to many pending Form I-589 asylum cases
• Payment may be required each year while the application remains pending
• Failure to pay may have serious consequences, including possible denial, dismissal, or abandonment of the application
• No fee waiver is currently available

মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের দূতাবাস, ঢাকা ঘোষণা করেছে যে ১ জুন ২০২৬ থেকে সকল অভিবাসী (Immigrant) ভিসা ক্যাটাগরির জন্য নতুন দুই দিনের প্রসেসিং ব্যবস্থা চালু করা হবে।

আবেদনকারীদের জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য:

* অভিবাসী ভিসা প্রক্রিয়ার সময় আবেদনকারীকে অন্তত দুইবার দূতাবাসে উপস্থিত হতে হবে।
* ন্যাশনাল ভিসা সেন্টার (NVC) কর্তৃক নির্ধারিত সাক্ষাৎকারে অংশগ্রহণ করতে হবে।
* সকল মূল নথি এবং তাদের কপি সঙ্গে আনতে হবে।
* সাক্ষাৎকারের আগে CEAC অ্যাকাউন্টে প্রয়োজনীয় সকল নথি আপলোড করা হয়েছে কিনা তা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
* প্রথম ভিজিটে দূতাবাস আবেদনকারীর নথিপত্র যাচাই করবে, আঙুলের ছাপ ও ছবি সংগ্রহ করবে এবং মামলাটি নথিগতভাবে সম্পূর্ণ কিনা তা নির্ধারণ করবে।

ভিসা অনুমোদিত হলে সাধারণত প্রায় দুই কার্যদিবসের মধ্যে পাসপোর্ট ও ভিসা প্রদান সম্পন্ন হওয়ার কথা।

The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has announced that effective June 1, 2026, all immigrant visa categories will be processed under a new two-day processing system.

Applicants should be aware of the following:

* Applicants must visit the Embassy at least twice during the immigrant visa process.
* Attend the interview appointment scheduled by the National Visa Center (NVC).
* Bring all original required documents and copies.
* Ensure all required documents have been uploaded to the CEAC portal before the appointment.
* During the first visit, Embassy staff will review documents, collect fingerprints and photographs, and determine whether the case is documentarily complete.

If the visa is approved, passport and visa issuance are expected to be completed within approximately two business days.

This change is intended to improve efficiency and reduce processing delays for immigrant visa applicants in Bangladesh.
