We want to draw your attention to major changes that were made by the Senate to the Paycheck Protection Program.

Most significantly:

(1) the covered period for which a loan recipient may use funds has been extended from 8 weeks to 24 weeks;

(2) the non-payroll portion of a forgivable covered loan amount has been increased from 25% to 40%;

(3) the deferral period for paycheck protection loans has been revised and now allows recipients to defer payments until they receive compensation for forgiven amounts. Recipients who do not apply for forgiveness shall have 10 months to begin making payments;

(4) Paycheck Protection Loan now has a minimum maturity of five years with a remaining balance after forgiveness; and

(5) flexibility on rehiring, as it pushes back an original June 30 deadline for rehiring laid-off employees.

We are looking for a legal assistant for 20+ hours per week, to work Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities include assistance drafting letters and legal documents, extensive communication with clients both in person and by telephone, maintaining the court calendar and scheduling appointments, maintaining client files, entering and processing billing in Quickbooks, among other general administrative tasks. Candidates should have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in the legal field is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quickbooks Pro and ecourts.gov is preferred.
