Good Morning! We are now able to process Driver's Licenses, ID cards, and Handicap hang tags.

We are able to process Titles, Plates, and Registrations.

September 15, 2026

The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) will reopen customer service centers on Wednesday, September 16.

OMV sincerely appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this transition to move Louisiana forward. This new platform, Drive360, was designed to provide residents with a secure system built with reliable technology, resulting in quicker, more efficient visits to OMV.

Beginning Wednesday, customers may visit OMV customer service centers for in-person services or utilize online services at www.expresslane.la.gov.

Louisiana OMV to Close Tuesday, September 15, for System Modernization

The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) will close all customer service centers on Tuesday, September 15, to complete the transition from its antiquated mainframe to its new modernized system.

The conversion to Drive360 represents an unprecedented change for the OMV and a significant transformation in serving Louisiana residents. While the agency recognizes the impact of extending the closure, it greatly appreciates the public’s patience as the agency completes this important modernization effort.

Offices are scheduled to reopen and resume normal operations once additional validation and readiness reviews are completed. Updates will be provided as they become available, and residents are encouraged to check www.expresslane.la.gov.
