Heads up! To make way for a new downtown outdoor event space, demolition will begin in two weeks at 101 N. Main Street. Learn more about the project below ⬇️
The outdoor event lawn in Downtown Fuquay-Varina will feature a temporary event space and Community History Walkway. Designed to be flexible, the area will host a range of Town and partner activities, including the popular Follow Me to Fuquay-Varina (FM2FV) concert series.* The new venue is expected to offer approximately double the event capacity of the current FM2FV location at Centennial Square.
To ensure a seamless transition to the site's ultimate transformation into Piney Woods Park, the Town will limit the construction of permanent structures within the temporary space.
Demolition of a Town-owned building will take place the week of August 24 at 101 N. Main Street, marking the first step toward the new community destination. The space is expected to be complete later in 2027.
