For more than four decades, Attorney Steven Errante has been a steady, compassionate force at Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante — and his story is every bit as remarkable as the work he does.
Born in Hicksville, Long Island and raised in Hollis, Queens, Steve grew up in a vibrant, diverse neighborhood that shaped the way he connects with people from all walks of life. He spent his childhood around his Greek family’s luncheonette in the Bronx, learning early what it meant to work hard, listen closely, and treat everyone with respect.
“I spent a lot of time in their luncheonette… I would be selling ci******es to adults… I knew how to make change.”
A lifelong athlete, Steve played baseball at Hofstra University before pursuing his passion for American history and law. That path led him to the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, a clerkship with the Connecticut Supreme Court, and ultimately to LTKE — where he rose to Managing Partner and built a career centered on helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
“I am much more comfortable helping people who have had a bad event happen to them through no fault of their own.”
In 1989 Steve started a long stint at Quinnipiac University Law School teaching students as an adjunct professor. Beyond the courtroom, Steve has spent more than 20 years serving on the board of The Children’s Community Programs of Connecticut, supporting foster care and educational programs. He’s also a proud father of six daughters and grandfather to ten — and still finds time to visit MLB ballparks, play golf, and stay connected to the community he loves.
