📅𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑫𝒂𝒚, 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏📍

For March's SIEPC meeting, we are switching things up from the norm.

In collaboration with the Charitable Gift Planners of Kentuckiana, we are hosting a joint advisor meeting at Indiana University Southeast on 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟐. This month's speaker is Katelyn Matusik of Bonhams, where she will speak on "From Appraisal to Auction Block: Inside the Global Auction Market."

The event will take place at IUS's Hoosier Room, which is located within the University Center North on campus. Registration will begin at 11:45, with the speaker scheduled to begin at noon.

Please join us and bring a guest! The seminar is free, but seating is limited and advanced registration is required. Lunch and drink will provided for those who register.

❄️A little snow never hurt anybody!❄️

Despite the snowy forecast, this month's SIEPC meeting is still a GO! Please join us at 11:45 today as we hear all about estate planning with animals and pets. Our speaker, Ms. Kelli E. Brown, will take the podium at Noon.

Please be safe and use caution during your travels! Our parking lot is clear and our sidewalks in are decent.

We're looking forward to hosting our February meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 4100 Charlestown Road! This month's speaker will be Goldberg Simpson, LLC's Kelli E. Brown, who will dive into estate planning when dealing with pets and animals. Registration is at 11:45, with Ms. Brown slated to speak at Noon. Lunch is free for members with an RSVP. One hour of CLE accreditation will also be available.

We had a great crowd on hand for yesterday's November meeting with Mr. Phillip Pearson from McBrayer PLLC! We wanted to thank Phillip for his time speaking on Secure Acts 1.0 & 2.0.

With less than two weeks remaining, we're quickly approaching our first SEIPC meeting of the 2024-25 campaign. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Our first speaker of the year is Ms. Linda Speed with the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. Her topic is: "Charitable Giving with Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)". One hour of Indiana CLE will be available for this event.

We had a great planning session this morning! But what else would you expect from a group of planners! We outlined a great list of topics and speakers, now we just need to put a date next them. This will be great year!

Gathering and learning! Such a great group of professionals - working together to be able to provide the best advice and service to our clients through Southern Indiana.

Today, Scott Weinberg presented on the estate planning ins and outs for Snow Birds. We learned a lot, especially that Florida has some unique laws (clearly Snow Birds need to work with an attorney licensed in Florida!)

We appreciate Community Foundation of Southern Indiana for hosting us, and providing a fantastic space for learning and comradery!
