Noah Fischer is a longtime resident of Bourbon County, Kansas and began interning with The Vickers Law Firm as an undergraduate. Noah attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2019 as an Honor’s Program Scholar and with honors in the Department of Politics and Government. Noah returned home to Kansas to attend law school at Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas where he graduated with honors, earning his Juris Doctorate in May 2022. Noah is excited to be practicing in Nevada, Missouri, and enjoys serving the people of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.

Olivia is a Vernon County native. Olivia completed her undergraduate studies at Pittsburg State University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude as a member of the Honors College, earning B.S. Degrees in both Psychology and Communication. Olivia graduated Cum Laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana where she earned her Juris Doctorate. While in law school Olivia received the Julia Lamber Award for her clinical work in Order of Protection Litigation and Domestic Relations Mediation. While in law school Olivia participated in the Rural Justice Initiative, the Protective Order Project, the Women’s Law Caucus, the Family Law Society, and worked as an extern for Boren, Oliver, & Coffey, LLP. Locally, Olivia is a general member of the Nevada Rotary Club and a board member of the Nevada Mo Mainstreet Alliance.

Kendall Vickers has been a practicing attorney since 1975. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia with a B.S. Degree in Agriculture (1969), and a Juris Doctorate (1974). He is also a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City, having earned an L.L.M. in taxation (1986). Kendall is a member of the Probate and Trust Law Committee of the Missouri Bar and has presented numerous programs for the University of Missouri Extension Division.

After an individual passes away, there is a series of steps that must be followed before any monetary or property distributions within a will may be made. These steps include applying admitting the will to probate, delivering the will to the court, applying for letters testamentary, notice to creditors, inventory and appraise assets, payment of any debts, claims, taxes, and expenses, the preparation of a settlement showing all income and disbursements made within the probate estate, and finally, obtaining court approval for distribution and close estate.
