Holiday Time - Remember that Holiday Time in your Parenting Plan takes precedence over your Day to Day Schedule. If you share custody and Christmas would fall on your normal week, but the holiday time listed states that the other parent has that week this year, it's their week. If the other parent isn't following the rules, call us and we can help. Because as hard as it is to give up one holiday, it's a lot easier than losing future time with your children because the rules weren't followed. We wish you all a Happy Holiday Season!

It's a common misconception that children stop having to deal with "divorced parents" issues once they become adults. Who you spend the holidays with might finally be up to you, but that doesn't stop parents from having an opinion on where you should go. Then you add in a spouse and their family and it just gets that much more complicated! We came across this BuzzFeed article a couple of years ago and it actually makes a lot of great points. Check it out!

For adults navigating the holidays with divorced parents, ‘tis the season of managing complicated relationships, expectations, and logistics — all without pi***ng someone off or running yourself ragged.
