Meet Cooper King, our “summer associate” for this year. Cooper is 2L law student at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and a graduate from the University of Kentucky. Cooper is originally from Tupelo, MS but has ties to Middle TN with his mother and sister both residing here. His sister is a practicing lawyer in Nashville.

Cooper finished his internship two weeks ago, but before he left, he wrote a great article applying some of the concepts he learned in the office…basically explaining “what happens if you die without a will in Tennessee???”

It’s a great question that I get asked all the time.

You may have noticed that we have been making some changes to our page and our listing.

As of March 1, 2026, Hamilton, Gorham & Duncan is simply Gorham & Duncan, Attorneys at Law.

We are honored to continue our partnership to provide top-notch legal services in Nashville and proud to serve the community of Bellevue where our office is located and beyond.

This change comes as Sue Hamilton will be making reductions in her caseload. Please note that we are humbled that Ms. Hamilton practiced full-time with our group for 10 years and also let us be clear that this isn’t a retirement announcement. Sue will continue to maintain an office with us and will be “of counsel” for Gorham & Duncan.

With our changes, you’ll likely see a change in branding and a new website in the near future. What won’t change is Mr. Gorham and Mr. Duncan’s level of service to our clients, our tenacity to achieve results, and a commitment to being the best lawyers we can be for our community and beyond.
