'Twas the night before depos, and all through the town,
Court reporters were ready, no worries to be found.
The attorneys were nestled, all snug in their beds,
While visions of smooth depos danced in their heads.
The equipment was set, each reporter prepared,
Hoping the witness would be honest and fair.
Videographers checked their cameras with care,
Ready to capture each word in the air.
As long as the witness spoke truth, not a lie,
No obstacles arose, nothing to deny.
The reporter and videographer got it all down,
No surprise—they were the best in the town!
The ground rules were clear: "No 'Uh-huh' or 'Um,'
Just Yes or No—speak clearly, don’t mumble or hum."
The witness was calm, his answers precise,
And the depo went smoothly, without a splice.
He smiled as he spoke, with clarity and ease,
And when it was done, he thanked them to please.
With a wave and a grin, the court reporter hopped in their car, saying, "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!"
