SJ&G Member Lesley E. Weaver will speak at the 2026 Complex Litigation Ethics Conference at UC Law San Francisco on Oct. 15.

Weaver will join the conference’s opening panel, “The Ethics of Claims Rates: The Promise of Technology?” The discussion will examine how new technologies can help attorneys improve participation in class-action settlements and ensure class members receive the benefits available to them.

We are proud to announce that Member Grayson Wells has been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the In re: Instructure Data Breach Litigation putative class action, filed in May 2026 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.

In addition to appointing three attorneys as interim co-leads to represent individual users, the Court selected six attorneys to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee, including Mr. Wells.

A federal judge has granted final approval of a groundbreaking settlement in the In re: Wells Fargo & Company Hiring Practices Derivative Litigation, establishing a $100 million borrower assistance fund designed to expand homeownership opportunities in underserved communities.

During the hearing, Judge Trina L. Thompson praised the legal teams’ creativity in crafting what she described as a “win-win for everybody.”
