3pm in Nashville, mid-July. The pavement on Broadway is throwing heat back at you, the line at Hattie B's is wrapped around the corner, and somewhere a bachelorette party is taking their fourteenth photo of the day. ☀

This is summer in Music City. Electric, a little chaotic, and absolutely worth it if you know how to work the schedule.

After hosting guests through every Nashville summer since 2002, here's the insider's playbook we share with every group rolling in for June and July:

🎶 Book Broadway for nights, not afternoons. The honky-tonks really turn on after 9pm, and the walk back feels twenty degrees cooler. If CMA Fest or a Bridgestone show is on your dates, lock the rideshare plan before dinner, not after.

🌇 Rooftops belong to golden hour. White Limozeen, L.A. Jackson, Bobby's. Get there by 7, claim the view, and stay through the skyline light show. The pool at our East Nashville stay does the same trick for half the price.

🥵 Surrender the middle of the day. Locals don't fight 95 degrees at noon. We're at Barista Parlor, ducking into Adele's for a long lunch, or back at the house with the AC cranked and the kitchen island covered in snacks and group-chat debriefs.

📅 Ask your host for the local calendar. There's almost always a free Centennial Park show, an Ascend amphitheater night, or a neighborhood block party that isn't on the tourist sites. We send ours out the week you arrive.

Less than a month out from the Fourth of July, and downtown Nashville is already filling up fast.

If you're planning to be here when the fireworks light up the Cumberland, a few things are worth knowing now. This is one of the biggest visitor weekends of the year, with hundreds of thousands of people heading to the riverfront for what's become one of the largest free Independence Day celebrations in the country.

Here's the honest truth from people who live here: where you stay makes or breaks the whole night. Guests within walking distance of Broadway get the full experience. Live music spilling out of the honky-tonks, a short stroll to the riverfront, and an easy walk home after the last firework fades. Anyone driving in from farther out spends the evening parked on I-40, watching the show through a windshield.

Our downtown homes put you right in the middle of it. Coffee on the patio in the morning, fireworks within walking distance at night, and no traffic between you and the music.

A few quick tips while you're planning: street closures around Broadway start mid-afternoon, the best riverfront viewing spots fill up by 6pm, and Lyft surge pricing gets wild after 10pm. Plan to walk, and you've already won the night. 🎆

When we created The Green Room, we poured everything into it. Every detail, every little touch, every thoughtful extra, hoping that guests would truly feel it. And then Brittney went and said THIS.
