Looking back, one of my regrets is not submitting a 40-page law review article I drafted in 2020 for publication. This was during the pandemic, and it was more so my priorities (like passing the bar exam) rather than fear that stopped me.

I recently revised the article and submitted it to 16 of the top law journals in the United States and am waiting to hear back. Sometimes, you just need to shoot your shot, regardless of whatever is holding you back.

Publicity rights can be traced back as far as 1888, when Congress introduced a federal bill “[t]o prohibit the use of likenesses, portraits, or representations of females for advertising purposes without consent in writing.”

If you know me, you know I love art and animals. I own an impressive collection of art, some of which I created. I have a feisty cat and I often take care of my parents' dog. I've interacted with pretty much all domesticated species at one point or another in my life. Combining my love for art and animals, a family member gave me a book titled "The Dogs of Ron Burns: A Tribute to the Dogs of 9/11" and it shows paintings of the many heroic animals that served on September 11, 2001 and its aftermath.

This is a reminder that today, we should remember not only the brave first responders and victims of September 11, 2001—but also the loyal search and rescue dogs who worked tirelessly in the aftermath. 🐶💔

Over 300 trained K9s were deployed to Ground Zero. They searched the rubble, comforted rescuers, and gave hope during the darkest of days. Their loyalty, courage, and service will never be forgotten.

Let us honor all the heroes—two-legged and four—who answered the call. 🕊️❤️
