Naples is no longer Florida’s quiet rich-person retirement plan.

As ultra-wealthy buyers chase waterfront, privacy and tax-friendly living, the Gulf Coast city is starting to rival Miami, Palm Beach and Manalapan — with record-breaking mansion sales, $2,000-a-foot condos, luxury-branded residences and a new generation of younger buyers moving in.

Port Royal just saw an $85M county record and a $225M beachfront sale. Now, Florida’s priciest listing is asking $271M in Naples.

The old nickname was “newlyweds and nearly deads.” The new pitch is simpler: quieter money, bigger lots, fewer velvet ropes.

Happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful mama in heaven! 🪽💕This day is never an easy one for me. I wake up not being able to pick up the phone to call you first this in the morning or drive over to give you flowers and celebrate this special day with you.

I miss you everyday, every happy moment I wish I could share with you, every difficult time I wish I had your shoulder to cry on, every new experience or place I wish I could take you to also or just be in your arms and feel those warmest hugs and love that only a mother can give to her child.

I’m so fortunate to have had you as my mom. Your unstoppable energy, your dedication to provide a good life and opportunities for your two daughters as a single mother, your big heart that was able to love so much and forgive so easily.

Your kindness and pure heart are rarer than words can describe. You inspire me everyday to be a better person.
