What a fun time with our Kidcaster tonight! This is Skyler McDaniel and he’s a 5th grader at Conway Elementary school. When he grows up he wants to play baseball at Coastal Carolina! If he doesn’t make the major leagues, he wants to be a daredevil and jump the Grand Canyon and the Eiffel Tower! Good luck buddy. Thanks to our sponsor John Price Law Firm

If you’ve suffered a traumatic brain injury and someone else was responsible, you are likely entitled to compensation for your injury. That means either reaching a fair settlement with an insurance company or fighting for that compensation at trial.

But while most people with TBIs who file a brain injury claim do settle out of court, that doesn’t mean you should take the first (or even second or third) offer the insurance company puts in front of you. Figuring out a fair settlement amount isn’t always straightforward, and settling for a payout that’s far less than what you need to support your needs can lead to significant financial and personal hardship down the road.

TBI victims who are represented by an attorney usually recover higher settlements on average than those who choose to go it alone.

Our Kidcaster tonight was McKenzie Hardy, a third grader at Ocean Bay Elementary! She did amazing. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She’s 8 years old and we first met at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in North Myrtle Beach. Good to see you again McKenzie! Thanks to our awesome sponsor, John Price Law Firm for making this happen!

Kidcaster is back! Paityn Hughes is a 3rd grader at South Conway Elementary and she rocked the weather tonight. She loves attending Coastal Football games. Not necessarily for football but for the great nachos. PRIORITES! Awesome job Paityn! BIG thanks to John Price Law Firm, LLC for being our great sponsor.

"Super Blue Moon II" over our beautiful bridges with the moon lighting up the American flag. The second full moon of August. My wife along with friend and fellow photographer Scott Butner enjoyed the moonrise from the Pasco side of the Columbia River. Scott and I texted about locations earlier in the day. My wife has allergies to the dust and wheat fields and she wanted to see it also. We all had a great time and conversations as the moon cruised into the heavens. Enjoying His wonderful night light...

UPDATE... The 5:00 p.m. advisory has Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand in a Tropical Storm Warning. See the updated graphic for five o'clock. The remnants of Idalia will pass near us Thursday morning. The current forecast calls for four to six inches of rain, perhaps, with sustained winds of 35 miles per hour or more and gusts of 45 miles per hour or more. Keep an eye on the forecast and be prepared to act if needed. Remember to bring in or otherwise secure outdoor furniture, etc., so that it does not blow around and cause damage (or blow away, never to be seen again).
