Finished up my Open House in Mount Pleasant today and made a quick pit stop around the corner. Did you know that back during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794, federal troops encamped here to arrest the local "Whiskey Boys" who were protesting the new alcohol tax? Because of all the chaos, the village earned the nickname "Helltown." Fast forward to modern times, and the area was officially dubbed with the most fitting ZIP code ever: 15666!
Naturally, I had to stop by Helltown Brewing to soak in the local history and this perfect patio weather. 🪵☀️🍻
If you missed today's open house but still want a peek at the market (or just want to talk Westmoreland County history), feel free to send me a message!
