Please welcome the newest attorney to our firm, Kevin DeMar!

Kevin earned his JD from the Nashville School of Law and was sworn into the Tennessee Bar in 2024. Kevin previously served as the Tennessee State Child Support Attorney representing Williamson, Hickman, Lewis, and Perry Counties. In that role, he gained substantial courtroom experience and developed a strong foundation in child support and related family law matters.

Since transitioning into private practice, Kevin has focused on representing clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting plans, and child support. He is committed to providing practical, results-driven representation while guiding clients through complex and often emotional situations with clarity and professionalism.

Continuing our series of introductions, meet Kaitlin Ligon:

Kaitlin Ligon is one of our firm’s paralegals. Outside the office, Kaitlin is also pursuing her law degree at the Nashville School of Law, slated to graduate and sit for the bar exam in Summer 2027. Prior to law school, Kaitlin secured her bachelor's degree in Political Science (Pre-Law concentration) from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 2021, where she first began accumulating real-world experience in the legal field.

Kaitlin is powered by her love for strong coffee, spending time with friends, and will always stop to pet a pup!

Leslea graduated from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2022 and was sworn into the Tennessee Bar in October 2022. Prior to working as an Associate Attorney at Hammond Zettersten & Associates, Leslea worked as a certified legal intern at Indiana University Student Legal Services and as the Student Director for the IU Protective Order Project.

Leslea practices both in family law, probate, and estate planning.
Leslea's legal passion project is providing low cost and pro bono conservatorship aid to families who have a loved one with a permanent disability. Leslea is the conservator for her younger sister, making this topic one she cares deeply about.

Leslea enjoys reading, Taylor Swift, and Disney Vacations with her family.

To continue our firm introductions, next up we have one of our newest additions!

Jimmy Leo Richardson III serves as Of Counsel with Hammond Zettersten & Associates. Jimmy is a seasoned juvenile and family law attorney known for his courtroom presence, work against the Department of Children’s Services, and passionate representation of Tennessee’s most vulnerable children often serving as Guardian ad Litem.

Jimmy’s commitment to justice extends beyond the courtroom. He served a full term on the Murfreesboro City School Board before becoming the Vice Chairman of the Board in his second Term and has held multiple public service appointments, including the Rutherford County Beer Board, the Town of Smyrna Historic Zoning Commission, and the Smyrna Charity Assistance Board.

He and his wife, Shaina, a licensed clinical social worker, live in Murfreesboro with their two daughters. The family attends Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Hammond Zettersten & Associates has had some staffing changes so we are starting a new series to introduce our firm to all of you.

I'm Christina Hammond Zettersten. I started this practice with my husband, Peter, who is now working for the State of Tennessee. I also work in child support enforcement for the 21st and 32nd Judicial Districts. I'm not only admitted to the Tennessee Bar, but also admitted to practice in Minnesota and before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
I graduated from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, where I earned a certificate in law and government. My practice now primarily focuses on family law, including divorce, child custody and support, and adoptions, as well as juvenile law. In my free time, I enjoy running, cycling, live music, and spending time with my family.
