I was blessed with the chance to finalize a stepparent adoption this afternoon for a wonderful family! The adoptee, who is 12 and had been wanting his stepdad/now official dad to adopt him for the past two years, learned that the family was headed to court to do just that ON THE WAY TO THE COURTHOUSE!!! How cool is that?!

It was a wonderful surprise. The entire family is amazing. It’s indescribable how much of a blessing it is to be a small part of the adoption process for them.

It was a beautiful day to finalize another adoption in Warren County today!

I had an adoption last November that allowed me to return to McMinnville for the first time in 20 years, and when I had the opportunity to come back 3 months later, I was 💯 on board!

I’m so grateful for the chance to be of service to an amazing family with the two cutest little misters. One waved at me and in the sweetest voice, told me that he would see me to-maw-woah. ❤️

What an incredible day for an adoption! Although I have many stepparent adoptions, it’s almost always the stepfather adopting the stepchild.

Today, a stepmother (now officially”Mom”) adopted her stepchild, which made the occasion all the more unique and heartwarming!

Being back in Warren County for the first time in twenty years made this day even more memorable.

So excited for this sweet family’s new beginnings!

November is National Adoption Month, and today is National Adoption Day!!!

I am beyond blessed to celebrate Adoption Days many, many times throughout the year every time I finalize an adoption for my sweet clients.

Adoption is part of my family’s story, and I am so proud of it! My brother, Jeff, is biologically my half-brother, and Dad adopted him after the Parentals married. We never call each other a “half” sibling. That’s not how we were raised, and that’s not how we see each other. Jeff is my brother, and I’m his sister. Sometimes, I’m his “little sister” regardless of my age. 🙂
