Bruce & Bruce was founded in 1999 by attorneys Steven Bruce and Rebecca Bruce. Steven and Rebecca as a husband and wife team have provided legal services to individuals and families in East Central Indiana (and in other parts of Indiana) needing help with all kinds of family and criminal law matters as well as with adoptions of children.
While the Bruce & Bruce law office will remain open for the foreseeable future with attorney Rebecca Bruce at the helm, attorney Steven Bruce has accepted a position as a judicial officer with the Delaware County Courts. He will start his new position as Master Commissioner on Monday, April 20th. He has been providing the required notice to all of his clients with active cases but we also wanted to make the announcement official at this time to the general public, as he is no longer accepting cases of any kind as an attorney.
Rebecca Bruce, Adoption Attorney has a longstanding adoption practice and is not leaving the practice of law. She will remain at Bruce & Bruce, which is located at 108 N Liberty St., Muncie, Indiana, and can be reached at 765-286-1776.
We will soon begin making changes to the website at www.brucelawoffice.com to reflect these changes.
As Rebecca Bruce's practice has been solely focused on uncontested adoption and adoption-related matters for the past 25 years (including some guardianship cases involving children who are Wards of the Department of Child Services), she is not situated to take on Steven Bruce's litigation practice which has encompassed much more than adoption cases.
