We're off to a busy summer here - so busy that Joy needs a nap! It's a good tradeoff, though: in the last few weeks, we've represented clients in the sale of their retail and service-based businesses; drafted, reviewed, and counseled clients with respect to their business contracts and governing documents; advised and assisted clients with new business formations; prepared complex estate plans; assisted with the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases, and more. In exchange, Joy, has been providing us with the white noise of her hound snores while we work!

A note of gratitude on this very special Monday morning! Ten years ago, I opened this law firm with little more than a desk, a phone, and a notepad (and a blue pen, of course). During that time, my practice has grown - not just in the traditional sense of the word, but in a way I didn't foresee. The growth I am most grateful for comes in the form of the service I've been able to provide: the hard questions I've been able to answer for clients and colleagues, the big moments in their lives I've been able to counsel them through, the delicate conversations balanced with the zealous advocacy when needed, and the trust, confidence, and continuing relationships that grow from there. That is the growth I couldn't fully anticipate when I first opened the door a decade ago.
