A day late on this spotlight, but this place was too good not to share!

Yesterday, Rick and I visited Conestogas Restaurant in downtown Alachua, and WOW! 🤩 We both ordered the bacon cheeseburgers, and I can honestly say these were some of the BEST burgers we’ve had in a long time!

🥓 Plenty of crispy bacon

🍟 Generous portions!

Seriously, the pictures don’t even do these burgers justice! Everything tasted so fresh, and you definitely won’t leave hungry!

🏆 THE MAIN STREET MONSTER BURGER CHALLENGE!

Conestogas has a massive burger challenge featuring THREE one-pound beef patties! That’s THREE POUNDS of burger! 😳🍔

Finish the entire burger AND your side by yourself, and you earn a Conestogas T-shirt and a slice of key lime pie!

Rick and I didn’t attempt that one, but I’d love to see someone try! 😂

🍰✨ SATURDAY BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Serendipity Soda & Sweets | High Springs ✨🍦

Since moving to the area, Serendipity has become part of our Saturday routine — we go pretty much every Saturday! ❤️ So of course I had to feature them for this week’s local business spotlight.

Serendipity is one of those places that’s so much more than just somewhere to grab dessert. They have ice cream, amazing cakes and sweets, candy, and even lunch options — all inside the cutest vintage-inspired space.

And there’s more to explore! 🛍️ They have an antique store attached, so you can browse around while you’re there, plus a speakeasy that’s available for special occasions. 🍸✨

It’s such a fun little place to spend part of a Saturday, and it has quickly become one of our favorite stops since moving here.

Gainesville and the surrounding communities each have a completely different feel. 🌴

📍 Gainesville — close to UF, healthcare, restaurants & everything happening in town
🌳 Alachua — small-town feel with easy access to Gainesville
🏘️ Newberry — growing quickly with lots of newer communities
🌾 Archer — more space, quieter surroundings & a rural feel
