Here’s a video with some important information on absentee ballots in the coming election. ✅ For absentee ballots for the November 3, 2020, election only, one witness 18 years of age or older is required and no notary is required. Absentee ballots must be requested by October 27, 2020, but the State Board of Elections is encouraging people to not wait and to request absentee ballots as soon as possible. If you return your absentee ballot by mail, it must be postmarked by November 3, 2020, or earlier and received by the Board of Elections by November 6, 2020, at 5:00 PM to be counted. If you need someone to witness your absentee ballot, you can stop by our office Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM and we will be happy to perform this service without charge. We will wear a mask and witness your ballot while you sit in your car. Come drive up and be counted!

Attorney Marie Michael Anders enjoyed reading to 2nd graders at Ida Rankin Elementary this morning as part of their annual Read-A-Thon in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday 🎁! The students were well behaved and asked lots of questions about what it means to be a lawyer. Thanks also to Attorney Brooke Shepherd Elting for helping coordinate this event as a part of the Ida Rankin PTA. Enjoyed it!
