Child Support Update: The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (2021 CARES Act), which was signed into law on 3/11/2021 exempts child support debts/arrearages. The 2020 CARES Act allowed for the intercept of child support arrearages, but the new law will not allow it.
