With the ongoing government shutdown affecting how food benefits, like SNAP, are being distributed and processed, many families in our community are facing uncertainty about how they’ll keep meals on the table. For some, even a short disruption in benefits can mean going without.
At The West Virginia Title Company, our Move to Meals initiative always invites clients to donate non-perishable items at the time of their closing, which we then deliver to a local food program.
Right now, the need extends much further. So we’re inviting our neighbors, friends, and partners to join us in supporting the local food banks and meal programs that are continuously helping the community.
Some of these programs include:

There are other programs in the community as well, so please comment any additional organizations that you know to be helpful.
If you’re in a position to donate or volunteer time, we implore you to reach out to any of these organizations. Otherwise, just sharing this post could be beneficial.
Community grows when we choose to support each other, especially during challenging times.
