Yesterday’s closing was pretty special as my client, Quinton, purchased his first home in our hometown of Moorestown which happens to be my first closing in Moorestown. The Interesting part is although we aren’t close in age, he grew up around the corner from me. Never crossing paths until later in life, Quinton has become the youngest and first black councilman in Moorestown history. As he turns his attention to bringing a fresh perspective to Moorestown as a councilman running in November, he’s embarked on his first house hack. Big things coming for Quinton and Moorestown. 🏡Running a Business😳- Understanding your numbers is crucial and having a nest egg for larger expenses like HVAC, Roof repairs, and Electrical issues are key. I will share my HVAC story at another time😬

🏡Screening Tenants✍️- Setting your criteria and ensuring you do not approve a tenant that does not meet your criteria is key. We use rentspree.com as our screening software because it provides a lot of detail like credit score, employment history, previous evictions, and does a criminal background check.

🏡Sacrificing Space to Build Wealth💰 - While house hacking, you may sacrifice privacy if it’s a single-family home or square footage if it is a multi-family home.

On this day, March 31, 2020, after weeks of adjusting to life under house arrest due to COVID, I concluded my COVID meltdown and decided to make a change in my real estate business. Weeks before this point, the NBA suspended play due to COVID and it finally sunk in that COVID was going to change our lives forever. I took for granted the ability to show homes and help people reach their real estate goals. One year ago, I decided to focus on improving my business by putting in max effort into my business planning and learning how to provide better service to my clients. The past 12 months have been a whirlwind but on the other side, I am proud to share my small wins as I continue to focus on my larger real estate dreams of becoming a Mogul in this business while helping others achieve their real estate goal(s). I appreciate all of the trust and support from my family, friends, peers, and past/present/future clients, for encouraging me to keep evolving.
