🌊 Flood Safety Week: Housing Mitigation Fund Program

We’re recognizing Flood Safety Week by highlighting programs from NJDCA’s Division of Disaster Recovery & Mitigation that help NJ homeowners prepare for future severe storms and disasters.

The Housing Mitigation Fund Program (HMF) provides up to $100,000 in interest-free, repayable funding for eligible flood mitigation activities to make homes safer and more resilient.

🏠 Funded projects include:
✅ Retaining walls and improved grading to help keep floodwater away from homes
✅ French drains, sump pumps, and underground piping to reduce basement flooding

The HMF application period is currently open. Review eligibility requirements and the Fact Sheet to learn more and apply.
